Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that EVMs are ready about 7-8 days before voting. After this, it never disappears from the eyes of the candidates till the day of counting of votes. The Election Commission informs the agents and candidates of political parties about every step related to this.
Describing EVM as virus proof, he said that tampering with it is not possible, this has also been accepted by the court. Still, after the results, doubts are raised on EVMs. He said that the process of EVM is completely transparent and bogus voting cannot take place through it.

How did the voting percentage increase after 5 pm?
Last year, after the Lok Sabha elections and Maharashtra Assembly elections, the opposition had also raised controversy regarding the voting percentage. The opposition had claimed irregularities citing the difference between the voting figures at 5 pm and the final figures. The Election Commission has said that voting takes place till 6 pm.
Voting continues even after this in many areas or polling stations. After this the EVM is sealed and taken to the strong room. After completing all these tasks the data is released. Naturally this is higher than the figure at 5 pm.
Recently, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had made allegations of deliberately deleting the names of people from the voter list. Responding to such allegations, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that the voter list is prepared through a complete process. No one’s name can be removed without due process.
Mathematics of Delhi elections
The Chief Election Commissioner said that there are 1 crore 55 lakh 24 thousand 858 voters in Delhi. Of these, 83 lakh 49 thousand 645 are male and 71 lakh 73 thousand 952 are female voters. The number of third gender voters is 1261.
13033 polling booths will be made for voting in Delhi. Of these, 70 will be operated by women polling personnel. There will be an average of 1191 voters at each booth. People above 85 years of age can vote from home.
It is noteworthy that in the 2020 assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) got a landslide victory for the second consecutive time. The party had won 62 out of 70 seats. BJP had got only 8 seats. Congress account was also not opened. Before that, in the 2015 elections also, Congress was reduced to zero. In that election, AAP got 67 seats and BJP got only 3 seats.
