Users are claiming about this video that Hindus are being massacred in Bangladesh. BOOM investigated and found that this viral claim is false. The video is of two manicans being burnt during a Halloween party held at the Chimlong Ocean Kingdom theme park in Zhuhai, China. Communal tension is being seen in Bangladesh since the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina government. The arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a Hindu saint, on 25 November 2024 created further tension. Right wing groups in India are accusing Hindus of being tortured in Bangladesh.

Other videos and photos of the theme park have been posted on the Instagram handle @galaxychimelong, in which the location is also tagged as “Chimelong Ocean Kingdom”.
A video was shared on Facebook page Sillynanomag on 17 October 2018. In this, tourists can be seen rotating the manikin with a stick. This suggests that this is a setup created for a Halloween party at a theme park. This can be seen from the timestamp of 42 seconds in the video.
