Police also reached the house of Joginder Singh Ugrahan, president of the Indian Farmers Union (Ekta Ugrahan) in Sangrur, but he was not found. SKM has called an emergency meeting in Ludhiana to take action on farmers. He said that there will be a demonstration in Chandigarh on 5 March.

Similarly, Pal Singh Goliala and Gurjit Singh Moga have been arrested in Faridkot. 7 leaders, including the Suba Pradhan Manjeet Singh Rai of the Indian Farmers Union Doaba, have been under house arrest by the police. We condemn this police action. This action should be stopped on the basis of the initiative. Farmer leaders should be released. The farmers should be provided with appropriate place in Chandigarh, so that they can perform in a peaceful manner.
