A fire has broken out in Sector 19 of the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj. It is being told that the fire started after the cylinder kept in the tent exploded and within no time 18-19 tents were burnt to ashes. UP CM Yogi Adityanath is reaching the spot and taking stock of the situation. At present, many fire tenders are deployed to control the fire, police and NDRF teams are evacuating the surrounding areas to control the fire. The fire broke out in the area between Shastri Bridge and Railway Bridge. This entire area comes under the Mahakumbh Mela area. At present there is no information about any casualty.

Fair’s Chief Fire Officer (CFO) Pramod Sharma told ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that the fire has engulfed about 18 camps. He said that 15-16 fire tenders have been sent to control the fire. A massive fire incident occurred in the Mahakumbh Mela area on Sunday afternoon. The fire broke out in Sector 19 of the Mahakumbh Mela. This created chaos in the fair area.
Flames and clouds of smoke could be seen from a distance, there was panic in the area after the fire. As soon as information about the incident was received, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and started controlling the fire. Many tents have been caught in the fire.
Due to the fire, dense smoke spread in the area, due to which people are facing a lot of problems. Firefighters are making every possible effort to control the fire. Till the time of writing the news, no casualty has been reported due to the fire.
According to the data released on Saturday, till 8 pm, about 32 lakh devotees visited Mahakumbh Nagar. According to official information, till 8 pm on Saturday, more than 42 lakh people took a dip of faith. At the same time, about 32 lakh pilgrims visited Mahakumbh Nagar. Apart from this, there are also more than 10 lakh Kalpavasis. It was told that till now more than 7.72 crore devotees have taken bath in Mahakumbh.
