Jaipur Meteorological Center has predicted light rain in some areas of the state on January 21 and 22.
IMD has issued fog alert in 17 states on Sunday. Earlier on Saturday, the department had issued an alert in 7 states. Due to dense fog, 47 trains were delayed on Saturday. The department has also predicted rain in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry on Sunday.
On the other hand, Jaipur Meteorological Center has predicted light rain in some areas of the state on January 21 and 22. Two people were injured in three road accidents near Kishangarh on Jaipur-Ajmer highway due to dense fog in the early hours of yesterday. Sirohi was the coldest with a temperature of 4.9°C.
Due to heavy snowfall in Himachal yesterday, National Highway 3, National Highway 305 and Atal Tunnel were closed. The temperature in 10 cities remained in minus. Kukumassery recorded the lowest temperature of -12°C.
Whereas in many districts of UP the visibility reduced to 50 meters. Due to fog, 36 trains were delayed in Kanpur and 10 in Agra. Due to cold, schools up to class 8 were closed in Kanpur, Meerut, Agra and Varanasi.
