Fog and cold created havoc in entire North India including Delhi-NCR, speed of trains and flights stopped.

Cold wave continues to spread in many states of the country, due to which the temperature has dropped and people are troubled by the cold. Due to dense fog, railway and air services are also being affected, due to which passengers are facing a lot of problems. Apart from this, the severe cold is also affecting people’s employment.

Cold weather continued in Delhi on Monday and there was light rain in some parts, while there was some increase in night temperatures in Kashmir after overnight snowfall. Light rain and snowfall occurred at some places in the tribal areas and high hills of Himachal Pradesh, due to which the mercury dropped by four to seven degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, cold will continue to wreak havoc in Delhi in the coming days also. Till January 12, the minimum temperature will remain at 9 degrees Celsius.

Similarly, there was a chill in Punjab and Haryana on Monday and there was fog in the morning at some places in both the states. The Meteorological Department has predicted clear skies on Tuesday. In the morning, there is a possibility of wind blowing from north-west direction at a speed of less than six kilometers per hour.

Haryana weather
In Haryana, the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.9 degrees Celsius in Ambala, 9.4 degrees Celsius in Hisar, 8.5 degrees Celsius in Karnal, 7.5 degrees Celsius in Narnaul, 10 degrees Celsius in Bhiwani and 12 degrees Celsius in Sirsa. According to the Meteorological Department, at present there is no possibility of getting relief from the cold.

Bihar in the grip of cold wave
Bihar is in the grip of cold wave where the minimum temperature has been recorded at 10 degrees Celsius or below at many places. The Meteorological Department said that there was dense fog at some places in the state during the day. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of dense to very dense fog at many places in the next two-three days.

Uttar Pradesh weather
Severe cold continues to wreak havoc in most of the districts of Uttar Pradesh, due to which life has been affected. Due to dense fog, visibility has reduced significantly and at many places it has reduced to 50 to 100 meters. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of very dense fog in UP, due to which road and rail traffic is also being disrupted.

More than 400 flight operations were delayed on Monday due to low visibility amid bad weather at Delhi airport. SpiceJet said in a post on social media platform . DIAL operates the national capital’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), which handles around 1,300 flights daily.
