125 year old church, village Sodaladudha, Gangadatalai, Banswara. Almost the entire village was Christian converted. With the efforts of the Bharatmata Temple Project, 80 families returned home and converted to Hinduism. Now according to the will of the families of the village, that church is being refined in Bhairav ji’s temple. On 9 March 2025, at 11 am, you are invited to family in this revival program.

The cross was saffron colored by removing the cross
Gathering information from the people sitting on the road, reached Sodladudha village via paved roads built on hills. One or two houses were seen on different hills in the village.
When asked about a bike rider passing through the road, he told about the church and Bhairav temple, he said with a gesture. A firm structure was formed between the two raw huts. The sacred sign of Christianity was crossed exactly on the front of the outer wall of the structure. Not only the front, there was a cross on all the walls.
When he went inside the structure, some people were coloring on the walls. Bhaskar Reporter questioned the people present- is it the same church that is being built. As soon as he heard the question, the 65 -year -old elderly elder present there shone. Come near and said- Yes, this is the same place. Now we will install an idol of Bhairavji.
Here, during our conversation, the cross -wall on the front wall and the holy sign on the door was being removed. The walls were being painted in saffron. The people present were working fast.
Gautam and the people present said that the design of the hall would be completely changed. The color of doors and walls will be saffron. The roof of the hall will be leveled. At the same time, a high place was built for the prayer meeting. There a platform will be made for the idol of Bhairav Bhagwan.

Pastor turned to religion 30 years ago
The elder called his name Gautam Garasia. Gautam told that he had adopted Christianity thirty years ago. He was the first person from Sodaladudha village to convert.
Gautam told that he has 30 members in his family. Gautam has 6 daughters and 5 sons. Not all adopted Christianity. The family of Gautam’s two sons has returned to Hinduism. At the same time, Gautam’s wife has not yet converted, she is still in Christianity. Gautam’s brother’s son Vikram Garasia was also present in the temple.
3 years ago church built on its land
Gautam told that after taking Christianity, people associated with Christianity started coming to the village. He used to inspire the villagers towards Christianity.
After increasing the number in the village, Gautam was made the pastor. Gautam was given 1200 to 1500 rupees a month.
Gautam used to hold a prayer meeting near his hut every Sunday. Three years ago, Gautam was given a budget to build a church near his slum.
After the formation of the church, the clergy started coming from outside in the Dharma Sabha to be held in it. The villagers who came to the prayer meeting were also asked to donate.
Gautam told that he was influenced by many people of the village, including his two sons and daughters -in -law, influenced by him.
Gautam said that after changing his religion, 45 people living in the village also converted their religion. Now 30 of them have adopted Hinduism together again. These people have returned home at an event held with the previous together. Gautam claimed that the remaining 15 people are also going to return home soon.

Gautam used to wear white kurta whenever he prayed in the church. Gautam has hung that kurta on the peg. Gautam has also entered the picture of God night. Currently, the picture of Lord Rama is placed on a chair.

Bhairuji Bhagwan’s entry will be done in the village with pomp
The church is being converted into a Bhairuji temple. A big program will be held on 9 March. With pomp, Bhairuji’s statue will be brought from Talwara to Gangadatlai. The idol of God from Gangad Talai will be installed by bringing the village of Sodaladudha with fanfare and pomp.
The team asked the people working in the hall, what is the reason for installing the statue of Bhairuji? On this, people told that Bhairuji God is established as a field for the safety of the village in Hindu culture. Those who did not change religion in the village have made the places of other gods near their homes. In such a situation, all the villagers together decided to establish Bhairuji in the temple.
