The Indian government is completely strict regarding wanted criminals hiding abroad. The police of the country is always active against criminals. She is making every possible effort to catch the criminals. Central agencies are also busy preparing to crack down on criminals. The thing to note is that it is not easy to bring back the criminals who leave the country and flee abroad. To bring them back, a lot of papads have to be rolled. This is a big challenge. At present the agencies have to take the help of Interpol for this. But now Bharatpol Portal will make this work very easy. Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the Bharatpol portal today at Bharat Mandapam.
What is Bharatpol?
Bharatpol is a common portal, which has been prepared by CBI on the lines of Interpol. This portal will include all the investigating agencies like CBI, ED, NIA and police of all the states. On the lines of Interpol, all agencies including CBI, ED, NIA and police of all states will be connected through a common portal. Through this portal, it will become easier to reach criminals wanted for any kind of terrorist incident, serious crime, narco, cyber crime.
The criminals sitting abroad are in trouble now!
In the last many years, it has been seen that wanted criminals easily leave the country and flee abroad after committing any kind of crime like terrorist activity, cyber crime, bank fraud etc. He carries out criminal activities in India from abroad. Gang wars are the latest example of this. Big gangsters like Goldie Brar, Rohit Godara sometimes sit in Canada and sometimes in America and organize gang wars in India. Khalistani is also not behind in this matter. But now the police and agencies will keep a direct eye on them.
Coordination between agencies and police will be easier
Till now, if any agency has to bring back a wanted criminal from abroad to India, then that agency contacts CBI through mail or letter for extradition. In such a situation, there remains a risk of news leaking. Through Bharatpol, all the agencies and police of the states will be directly connected with each other. This will improve coordination.
Why was Bharatpol created?
- The central government is taking a big step like Bharatpol for the easy return of fugitive criminals to the country.
- This portal will work under CBI
- Police of all states will be able to directly take help of Interpol through this portal.
- Through this portal, investigation of other crime cases including cyber crime will be expedited.
- Through this portal, real time information about criminals can be easily collected.
What will be the benefit of Bharatpol?
The purpose of starting this portal is to ease the coordination of Indian security agencies with Interpol. Now the police of the states will also get the benefit that through this portal they can directly request Interpol for information about any criminal. At present the states have to first appeal to the CBI. CBI sends it to Interpol. But now this work will be done directly.
