Gallantray Award Full List 2025: President Draupadi Murmu addressed the countrymen on the eve of the 76th Republic Day. During this time he has approved the bravery award. President Murmu approved gallantry awards to 93 armed forces and Central Armed Police Forces personnel, including 11 posthumously. According to the information, these include two Kirti Chakras, one of which is posthumous; 14 Shaurya Chakras, including three posthumous. Two Sena Medals (Gallantry); 66 Army Medals, including seven posthumously; Includes two Navy Medals (Gallantry) and eight Air Force Medals (Gallantry).

Paramveer Chakra

Paramveer Chakra is the highest honor of the Indian Army. The soldiers of the country are awarded Param Vir Chakra for showing indomitable courage while fighting the enemies in the line of duty. This medal came into existence on 26 January 1950 on the occasion of Republic Day.

Mahavir Chakra

Mahavir Chakra is given to the soldiers of Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. This medal is awarded to the soldiers for bravely facing the enemies in the line of duty. Apart from Mahavir Chakra, the government also gives them a fixed amount every month. This circular medal made of silver is tied with a white and orange colored ribbon.

Kirti Chakra

Kirti Chakra is also given for the supreme courage and determination of the soldiers. This medal is awarded to employees and officers of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Reserve Army. This medal is round and hanging on a green ribbon. It was started on 4 January 1952.

Veer Chakra

Veer Chakra is awarded to Indian soldiers for their indomitable and extraordinary bravery. This medal is circular, with five notches in the middle. Apart from Veer Chakra, a fixed amount is also given to the brave soldiers every month. Veer Chakra was also started on 26 January 1950.

Shaurya Chakra

Shaurya Chakra is a circular medal made of bronze. This medal comes in the category of Peace Time Gallantry Award. This medal is given to the brave soldiers of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force for displaying indomitable courage while combating the enemies. Shaurya Chakra was started on 4 January 1950.
