Navdunia Representative, Bhopal(GG Flyover Bhopal). The long awaited dream of the citizens of Bhopal is going to be fulfilled. The GG flyover between Gayatri Temple and Ganesh Temple in Bhopal, built at a cost of Rs 154 crore, will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Thursday.
After this the flyover will be opened to the general public. GG flyover will play an important role in easing the traffic of Bhopal. Especially there will be relief from traffic jam between Vallabh Bhawan intersection and Ganesh Mandir area.
equal to a four-storey building
This flyover is an important gift for the residents of the capital. With 2734 meter length and 15 meter width, this flyover is the longest flyover of Bhopal. Besides, its height is also special. This 13 meter high flyover is almost equal to a four-storey building. It stands on 92 pillars.
Construction completed after two years delay
Construction work on the GG flyover began in December 2020 and was completed in December 2024. Many obstacles had to be faced in launching it. Earlier it was planned to start on 26 December 2024.
This date had to be postponed due to PWD Minister Rakesh Singh’s visit to Gujarat. After this, the new date of inauguration was fixed on January 3, 2025, but due to the demise of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and national mourning, it was again postponed.
CM said- Citizens should give suggestions for infrastructure development
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has invited positive suggestions from citizens regarding the infrastructure development of the state. He said that public participation is very important in the development of the state. Citizens can send their valuable suggestions to the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
The government will seriously consider these suggestions. Every effort will be made to implement good suggestions. He said that GG flyover (from Ganesh temple to Gayatri temple) will be inaugurated in Bhopal on Thursday.
Citizens will get relief from the problem of traffic jam
This flyover has been built with the aim of facilitating the traffic system of the city and providing relief to the citizens from the problem of traffic jam. The Chief Minister said that this inauguration is one of the facilities being provided to the people of the state through development works under the Chief Minister Public Welfare Campaign being run in the state from 11 December 2024 to 26 January 2025.
traffic management will be better
On this flyover starting from Vallabh Bhawan intersection, about 60 percent of the traffic will descend near the Ganesh temple. Only vehicles going to MP Nagar, Jyoti Talkies Square, Board Office Square or Vyapam Square will not have to use the flyover. Its direct benefit will be that the traffic speed will remain maintained at these intersections and traffic management will be better.
