In this case, now the big disclosure has been that the gold smuggling racket of actress Ranya Rao included a large syndicate and she was being assisted at the airport with the help of the State Protocol Officer, which was connected to this racket. This information was given by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) to a court. Which is investigating this big case.

Smuggling with the help of State Protocol Officer

DRI, who is investigating gold smuggling, is opposing the bail of 33 -year -old actress Ranya Rao. The famous actress of South was arrested on March 3 with 14 kg of gold in Kempegowda Airport and 14 kg of Bangalore. During interrogation, Ranya said that on that day, it was a State Protocol Officer who took Ranya Rao out of the airport. He was caught just one or two steps before exiting him.

How did Ranya come out of Immigration and Green Channel

The agency said that Ranya Rao had passed through Immigration and Green Channel with the help of State Protocol Office. Along with this, Ranya also alleged that the department was involved in it. The DRI counsel said, “We (DRI) had stopped it after passing through the Green Channel. Ranya had no intention of telling what she was carrying.” DRI said, “We have summoned the State Protocol Officer.”

The agency also claimed that a huge amount of money was arranged and transferred through hawala. They are investigating that channel. The DRI said, “This shows that a syndicate was working.” Claiming not to cooperate in the investigation of the actress, the DRI said, “We oppose her bail as it is a matter of national security. We have to investigate the hawala channel.” The agency also said that Ranya Rao, who has gone to Dubai 27 times in the last 6 months, has a resident identity card of UAE.

Ranya made 27 trips to Dubai and US in 6 months

Ranya Rao, the step -daughter of Indian Police Service officer Ramchandra Rao, is currently in judicial custody. It is expected that the court will take a decision on his bail very soon on the petition. Ranya Rao was in the eyes of DRI due to his frequent foreign visits. In the last 6 months, he had 27 trips to Dubai and US. DRI said, “After Ranya’s arrest, a search of a house of Rs 2.06 crore and Rs 2.67 crore cash was recovered in a search of the house on Lavel Road, Bangalore,” said.
