‘God also cannot improve Bengaluru overnight …’, BJP told DK Shivkumar’s statement unfortunate

Shivkumar’s remarks have come to light at a time when the people of Bangalore and the city’s development plans are expressing concern over the deteriorating traffic of the city, the delay in the expansion of the metro rail and the inadequate means of public transport. Critics say that the government announced ambitious infrastructure projects, but the pace of work on them is slow.

Mohandas Pai, economist and head of Arin Capital, has challenged Shivkumar’s statement by questioning the progress of the government to improve the infrastructure of Bengaluru. He wrote on social media, “Minister DK Shivkumar, it has been two years since you become a minister! We appreciated you as a strong minister and welcomed you. But our life has become very worse! It happened, but the government has not completed any project in the city on time. ”

Pai has claimed that the major infrastructure projects have still not been completed. The condition is bad and the system of public traffic is also not sufficient. He has demanded the government to buy five thousand electric buses as well as take other necessary steps as soon as possible. He has emphasized the need to work day and night on the expansion of clean and walkable city and metro.

The BJP has also criticized Shivkumar’s statement and described the government led by Siddaramaiah in the state as disabled. It is unfortunate that this government is engaged in many activities other than development.”

After these criticisms, Shivkumar has said that his government has issued a handbook on the streets. This book will solve all the pending problems of the capital Bangalore, including the design of new roads and bus bases, to reduce traffic problems.
