‘My name is Ranjit Singh Jat. I am an outsourced employee (driver) in the Municipal Corporation. Currently, I am on duty from 2 pm to 10 pm at Deputy Commissioner Atibal Singh Yadav’s place for 2 years. Atibal Singh Yadav, I am being tortured mentally and physically. What should I do now, I get abused after drinking alcohol. There is pushing and shoving. Which is not my job, like picking up discarded utensils, getting them cleaned. If I refuse, they threaten to fire me.
I have to do this work under pressure. Even after that, they drink alcohol and abuse at night. My duty is from 2 pm to 10 pm, but I leave from 12 to 1 am. My house is 15 kilometers away on the highway, so something can happen to me at any time. When the Deputy Commissioner abused me at 10 pm on 23rd November, I protested. To which he said that do not come to the job from tomorrow, now I cannot leave my family to die, hence I am going to commit suicide out of depression. ,
