Saif Ali Khan has returned home yesterday after being discharged from Lilavati. Day by day new revelations are being made about his accused Shariful Islam Shahzad. Now the police has made a new revelation in this matter. Bangladeshi citizen Shariful Islam Shahzad had allegedly entered actor Saif Ali Khan’s house to commit theft and attacked him with a knife several times during a fight. After the incident, he wanted to flee to his country.
The accused wanted to leave India
After the attack, the accused had plans to leave India. According to the information received from the police, Shariful was planning to reach Howrah. He tried to book a ticket for Howrah, but the travel agent demanded more money. Due to less time, travel agents were also demanding more money from him. Even before getting the ticket, Shariful got arrested in Thane.
Saif is safe now
Police are now talking to all travel agents. If seen, this is a high profile case. In such a situation, the police is considering all aspects. At present Saif Ali Khan is out of danger. The doctor has discharged him. However, the doctor has advised to take rest for a week and has also asked to meet less people. There may be a risk of increasing infection due to this.
How did you take entry?
Mumbai Police is making every possible effort to get to the bottom of this matter as soon as possible. A police team yesterday took Shariful to the actor’s Bandra home so that the story of the crime could be recreated. Following are the things that came to light before the police.
The Bangladeshi national arrested for attacking actor Saif Ali Khan entered the actor’s building in Mumbai’s Bandra area by climbing the wall and found the security guard sleeping at the time. Police gave this information on Tuesday. Mumbai Police on Tuesday conducted a “drama enactment of the crime” with the accused at the Satguru Sharan Building, where the actor lives.
Three days after the attack, police arrested the accused from neighboring Thane city. A police officer said, “In the building where actor Saif Ali Khan lives, both the security guards were sleeping when the attacker jumped over the wall and entered the building.”
He said, “When the accused found both the security guards fast asleep, he entered the building through the main entrance, where there are no CCTV cameras installed. To avoid any noise, the accused took off his shoes and kept them in his bag and also switched off his phone.
The officer said, “During the investigation, the police found that there was no CCTV camera installed in the corridor of the building. “Investigation revealed that one of the two security guards was sleeping in the cabin and the other near the gate.”
Despite locking the house, how did the accused get out of the house?
After stabbing Saif Ali Khan and the servants of the house, they locked Shariful in the room attached to the bathroom. But Shariful escaped through the air-conditioning duct and ran down the stairs. Police have recovered Shariful’s face cover from the room of Khan’s younger son Jahangir, where the clash between the actor and the intruder took place. This face cover is being sent for forensic investigation.
Accused’s cap found in Jeh’s room
Let us tell you that Saif and Shariful had fought in son Jeh’s room and it was from here that the cap of the accused was found. Police have sent the cap and its hair to the School of Forensic Lab for DNA testing. Police have already found 19 fingerprints of the accused from Saif’s house as evidence.
The accused had entered India illegally
A Mumbai Police officer investigating the case of accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad said that 30-year-old Shahzad had entered India illegally by crossing the Dwaki river located on the India-Bangladesh border in Meghalaya. After this he changed his name to Bijoy Das and started living here. Police had earlier told that Shahzad is a native of Jhalokathi district of Bangladesh.
