Hamas has handed over four Israeli women held hostage to the Red Cross. These four were released under the Gaza ceasefire agreement. According to media reports, before the release of the four women, Hamas gunmen and a large crowd of people gathered at Palestine Square in Gaza City. The women were taken out of a Palestinian vehicle and brought to the stage. He smiled and waved towards the crowd. Then they sat in Red Cross vehicles.

Those released by Hamas include 19-year-old Liri Alabag of Moshav Yeruhav, Israel, 20-year-old Karina Ariev of Jerusalem, 20-year-old Daniel Gilboa of Petah Tikva, central Israel, and 20-year-old Naama Levy of Ra’anana, central Israel.

The ceasefire agreement put an end to the war that began after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. About 1,200 people were killed and 251 were taken hostage and taken back to Gaza. At least 47,283 Palestinians have been killed and 111,472 injured in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
