Till date, 4 women have become CMs in Delhi. Two of these Sushma Swaraj and Rekha Gupta are roots from Haryana. Both of them started with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and then came into active politics through BJP. Both were lawyers. Arvind Kejriwal prepared for the Civil Services Examination after graduation from IIT and in 1995, the UPSC exam was cleared and selected in the Indian Revenue Service (IRS).

In 2006, Kejriwal was awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award for campaigning against corruption. In 2011, Kejriwal, along with social activist Anna Hazare, formed India Against Corruption Group (IAC) demanding the implementation of the Jan Lokpal Bill and emerged as the main face of the movement. Kejriwal, who formed the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on 24 November 2012, created history by defeating the veteran Congress leader and the then CM Sheila Dixit in the 2013 Delhi Assembly elections.

The common things in both Sushma Swaraj and Rekha Gupta are that both were associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. The second two were lawyers after studying law. Like the third Sushma, Rekha Gupta is also an outspoken speaker.
