Dhaka:
Bangladesh High Court clearly refused to ban the activities of ISKCON. The court on Thursday took suo motu cognizance and refused to pass an order banning the activities of ISKCON. In this regard, on Wednesday, Supreme Court lawyer Moniruzzaman had filed an application before the bench of Justice Farah Mehboob and Justice Debashish Roy Chowdhury to ban the activities of ISKCON. Earlier, the Bangladesh government also called ISKCON a ‘fundamentalist organization’ in the court.
The government has said in the court that the future course of action will be determined after interrogating the accused in this case. Our police is strict and serious regarding this entire matter.
The court said in its comment, “There is no need for the petitioner to worry or worry. All religions are respected in our country. “We ensure that mutual enmity does not spread between people of any religion.”
Earlier, regarding the arrest of Chinmay Das, many people including 68 retired judges, IAS, IPS had written a letter to Prime Minister Modi requesting him to take steps in this direction.
At the same time, tension increased in the country after his arrest. Not only this, the petition filed against the arrest of Chinmay Das was also rejected, on which the Hindu community of Bangladesh lodged a protest.
AAP leader Manish Sisodia met
Aam Aadmi Party leaders Manish Sisodia and Saurabh Bhardwaj reached ISKCON temple today. Here he met the director of ISKCON Temple and got information about the situation in Bangladesh. Expressing concern over this issue, Manish Sisodia has said that the Prime Minister and the Home Minister should openly oppose the atrocities on minorities in Bangladesh. Manish Sisodia has said that the manner in which our saint Chinmoy Krishna Das ji has been put in jail in Bangladesh and he has not been granted bail is unfair.
Manish Sisodia said that ISKCON has given the message of love to the whole world. An organization that gives the message of love and harmony cannot be a terrorist. These people can never be fundamentalists. We have seen in big cities that when ISKCON people come out on the streets doing Hare Krishna, people of every religion and caste jump with joy. Manish Sisodia said that if someone calls an organization which gives the message of love and harmony a fundamentalist and a terrorist, then it should not be acceptable and we cannot accept it at all in India.
He said that there is an appeal to the Government of India to take necessary steps as soon as possible. On this issue, East of Kailash Director Vijendra Nandan has said that ISKCON spreads brotherhood, goodwill and love through 1000 centers all over the world. Books like Geeta are being propagated in foreign languages. If such an organization is called fundamentalist and terrorist in Bangladesh then it is completely baseless.
Sisodia said that we have always stood with the people in times of disaster, even during the time of Covid, we used to make prasad for 5 lakh people and distribute it through the Delhi government. He said that we urge the Government of India to take strict action on this as soon as possible. Those who have committed this misbehavior should be punished.
