State Bureau, Naiduniya Bhopal. There is a preparation to start a big facility in the state for the treatment of heart patients. It is proposed to set up a cardiac cath lab in all district hospitals from Public Private Partnership (PPP).
After the Cath Lab is installed, works like angiography, angioplasty (removing the blocks of the arteries of the heart), heart valve replacement and pacemaker will be able to be done. Currently, cath labs are established in hospitals affiliated to large government medical colleges.
JP Hospital in Bhopal is established
In district hospitals only in JP Hospital in Bhopal, the government is setting up cath lab at its level. A proposal has been prepared to establish the rest of the place from PPP.
The number of heart patients is increasing rapidly. Due to this, there is a preparation to provide the facility of angiography and angioplasty up to the level of the district hospital.
A cath lab for two crores
It costs about two crore rupees to set up a cath lab at one place. All district hospitals will cost more than a hundred crore rupees. After this, cardiologist and other human resources will have to be arranged.
CT scan facility on PPP model
It is difficult for small districts to meet cardiologist in government system. For this reason, the government is trying to set up a cath lab from PPP instead of itself. Let me tell you, the facility of its first CT scan is running in district hospitals with PPP.
In seven major district hospitals, MRI has also started from PPP. After both these experiments are successful, there are plans to install Cath Lab from PPP. There is a possibility of decision at the government level soon.
40 % lower fee will be available in the market rate
With the establishment of Cath Lab, there is a hope of facilities for angiography, angioplasty and other treatment at about 40 percent fee from the market rate. In private hospitals, 15 thousand in angiography and one and a half lakh to two lakh rupees for angioplasty.
Apart from this, patients of Ayushman Bharat Yojana will be able to get free treatment. Currently, most of them go to private hospitals for treatment. The government has to pay them under Ayushman.
