People appear on the streets spoiled with colors, but in Sheikhpur village of Kailaras, the opposite view is seen in the afternoon. The women have completely set out in the village and revolve around the entire village.
Seeing the new clothes and 16 adornments of women, the festival of Holi looks like Deepawali. This tradition in Sheikhpur has been playing for the last 500 years. Which is being discharged every year rural women.
Sheikhpur village is 10 km from Kailaras
The festival of Holi is celebrated uniquely in the village in Sheikhpur, 10 km from Kailaras. All the daughter -in -law and daughters of Sheikhpur do sixteen adornments and revolve around the village. This tradition was started by Sant Vijayanand in the village.
According to Mahant Ramlakhan Das of Vijayanand Ashram, this tradition was started among the villagers to protect against mutual harmony and natural disaster in the village. Women also sing folk songs along with the village parikrama.
According to the belief, along with folk songs, men also support women in this parikrama, who move forward while saving the dhapali. During the parikrama, when a new marriage in the village takes place, these women sing at his door and sing the daughter -in -law.

There used to be a lot of arson incidents in Sheikhpur. The people of the village tried hard to get rid of this problem, at the same time a saint came to the village. He said that if you immerse the fire of Holi in the Ganges, then this natural disaster will not come here.
People believed the saint’s point and immersed the fire of Holi with Saint Vijayanand and immersed it in the Ganges. After that, there is no incidents of arson or outbreak in the village yet. People from nearby villages Bhatpura, Deepera, Torika, Nayagaon also reach the village Sheikhpur to see this event to be held at Padhwa.
There is a competition to lift the placenta
Before the orbit of women, men of the village gather at one place and perform Phag singing with traditional instruments. Later in the afternoon there is a competition outside the village. Apart from Morena, wrestlers also reach from Agra, Dholpur, Gwalior, Basedi, Vijaypur and other districts.
The placenta ranging from 90 kg to 130 kg is raised here. After lifting the placenta, the wrestler also has to keep the circle of the entire ground with the help of the neck on the back. The wrestlers who are raised are given prizes from the villagers.
