Mumbai: Today, Karthik Aryan’s name is at the top among the crowd of shining stars. But his success was not easy. Born in a middle-class family, Karthik had to struggle with adverse circumstances to achieve this position. Kartik’s real name is Kartik Tiwari, and he was born on 22 November 1990 in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Doctor parents wanted him to become a doctor, but Karthik was interested in the world of acting since childhood.
Quit studies and go into acting
Karthik started dreaming of making a career in acting while studying engineering. During his college days, he started traveling to Mumbai for auditions and also started modeling. Despite continuous failures, he did not give up and also did an acting course. In the initial days of the struggle, he lived with 12 other struggling artistes in Mumbai and earned some money by cooking for them.

In Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Karthik gave a seven-minute monologue, which brought him into the limelight. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, released in 2018, established Karthik as a successful comedy actor. His Netflix film Dhamaka was shot in just 10 days, which shows his dedication towards his work. Today Karthik charges Rs 35-40 crore for a film.
Luxury life and brand endorsement
There was a time when Kartik did not even have his own car to go to red carpet events. He bought his first car, which was third-hand, for Rs 60,000. Today he has a collection of luxury cars. He also gets huge amount for brand endorsement. Earlier he got Rs 1500 for an advertisement, whereas now he charges Rs 15 lakh for an advertisement.
Personal life and discussions
The pairing of Karthik and Sara Ali Khan was much liked in the film Love Aaj Kal 2, released in 2020. There were rumors of their dating, but both of them never made it official. However, in the show Koffee with Karan, Sara admitted that she was dating Kartik, but later they broke up.
