Controversy arose due to Bidhuri’s comments
Bidhuri’s recent remarks about Atishi and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi had created controversy. The BJP leader had commented about Atishi’s father. Apart from this, he had said that the roads of Kalkaji will be made as smooth as “Priyanka Gandhi’s cheeks”. Congress had described this comment as an “insult to women”. However, after the controversy in this matter, Bidhuri had expressed regret.
Voting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly will be held on February 5 and counting of votes will be done on February 8.
Aam Aadmi Party got 67 seats in the 2015 assembly elections and 62 seats in the 2020 elections. The party is eyeing another term. Whereas BJP had won three seats in 2015 and eight seats in 2020. However, Congress had failed to open its account both the times.
