February 21 is an important place in the history of Indo-Pakistan relationships. On the same date in 1999, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif signed a treaty called ‘Lahore Declaration’. Amidst a tremendous reception in Lahore, Vajpayee said, “I said,” I am goodwill of my fellow Indians and I have brought hope to those who want permanent peace and harmony with Pakistan … I know this is a decisive moment in the history of South Asia and I hope we hope to face the challenge Will be able to. ”The Lahore agreement was signed after a conversation between the two Prime Ministers.

The Kumbh Mela of India has been recognized as the world’s largest peaceful human gathering by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The first Mahakumbh of this century was organized in 2001 and this Kumbh ended on 21 February on the day of Mahashivaratri.

- 2001: End of Mahakumbh before millennium.
- 2004: The country’s tennis star Sania Mirza won a big achievement by winning the WTA title. She became the first Indian woman player to do so.
- 2008: Asif Ali Zardari, leader of Pakistan Peoples Party, joined hands with Muslim League (N) leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
- 2013: 17 people died in bomb blasts in Hyderabad, more than a hundred people injured.
- 2023: Eight people killed in Turki, Syria of 6.4 magnitude earthquake, more than 200 injured.
- 2024: India’s well-known legalist and veteran senior advocate of the Supreme Court Fali S.K. Nariman died.
