‘I too could have built a glass palace…’: PM Modi’s big attack on Kejriwal from Delhi rally

PM Modi targets Kejriwal in Delhi rally

New Delhi:

Regarding the Delhi Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party has kicked off its election preparations with PM Modi’s rally. In the rally in Ashok Vihar, Delhi, PM Modi also took a jibe at Aam Aadmi Party convener and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal through gestures. PM Modi said that today we the country knows very well that Modi never built a house for himself. But in the last 10 years, the dream of housing more than four crore poor has been fulfilled. I too could have built a Sheesh Mahal. For me, it was a dream for my countrymen to have a permanent home. I tell you that whenever you go among the people and meet them, they should come to me with a promise that if not today then tomorrow a permanent house will be built for them, they will get a permanent house.

Swabhiman apartments are going to increase the self-respect of the poor. A little while ago, when I talked to some beneficiaries, I saw the same feeling in them. I got a chance to meet some boys and girls, I was seeing their dreams higher than the self-respect apartment. The people of these houses are members of my family. Modi never built a house for himself, but in the last 10 years, he has built houses and fulfilled the dreams of more than four crore poor people. I too could have built a glass palace.

PM Narendra Modi

PM Modi said that in developed India, we are working with the resolve that every citizen of the country should have a good house with a solid roof. Delhi has a big role in the accomplishment of this resolution. Therefore, the BJP central government has started a campaign to build pucca houses in place of slums. Two years ago also, I got the opportunity to inaugurate more than three thousand houses for the brothers and sisters living in slums in Kalkaji Extension. Those families whose generations lived only in slums. In front of whom there was no hope. They are reaching permanent houses for the first time.

These Swabhiman apartments are going to increase the self-respect and dignity of the poor. A while ago, when I talked to some beneficiaries, I saw the same feeling in them. I was experiencing new enthusiasm and new energy. It seemed that his dreams of self-respect were higher than the height of the apartment. The owners of these houses may be different people from Delhi but all of them are members of my family.

Which is the real energy of developed India. We are not going to stop here. Currently, the construction work of about three thousand more such houses in Delhi is going to be completed within a short time. Thousands of new houses are going to be provided to the people of Delhi in the coming time. A large number of employees live in this area. They were also quite old. New houses are being built for them also. In view of the unprecedented development of Delhi, the Central Government is accelerating the construction of Narayana Sub City.
