I will stop the war with one phone call… That was not Trump’s phrase, what is Putin indicating?

Moscow:

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday he is ready to compromise on Ukraine in potential talks with incoming US President Donald Trump to end the war. He also said that he has no conditions for starting talks with Ukrainian authorities. The Russian President made this statement during his annual year-end press conference. This statement of Putin has come amid Trump’s claims in which he had talked about ending Ukraine-Russia. Trump had given a big statement in the Republican National Convention (RNC) saying that if he wins the presidential election, he will stop the war with just one call. Earlier this claim of Trump was being taken lightly. However, now it is clear from the statement of Russian President Vladimir Putin that he is also in favor of ending the war and also wants to talk to Trump on this issue.

Putin expressed his desire to meet Trump ‘at any time’. He said that I don’t know when I will meet him. He is not saying anything about this. I have not spoken to him for more than four years. Of course I am ready for it, any time.

Indications of talks with Trump have been given earlier also

Putin had congratulated Donald Trump on winning the US presidential election and said that Moscow is ready to hold talks with Trump who was elected to the post of Republican President. Addressing the plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club in Sochi on November 7, Putin said, “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate him on his victory in the US presidential election. I have already said that we will Will also work with a head of state on whom the American people can trust.” According to Al Jazeera, this was Putin’s first public comment after Trump’s victory.

Trump has vowed to end the war

Earlier, America’s newly elected President Donald Trump had said on Monday that he will talk to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war that has been going on for almost three years. According to Trump, he will try to stop this ‘genocide’. Even before Trump enters the White House in January, both sides are competing to gain an upper hand in the war. However, Ukraine, a country that receives support from America, is also worried that it may be forced to make some concessions in exchange for peace in the region.

In fact, Trump has been raising questions about the billions of dollars of aid provided to Kiev by the Joe Biden administration against Moscow. Donald Trump talked about stopping the genocide by talking to the Presidents of both the countries in a press conference on Monday. Trump said, “We will talk to President Putin and we will also talk to Zelensky and representatives of Ukraine.” “We have to stop it, it’s genocide,” he said, referring to the war.

The comments came as Russian President Putin praised his military’s continued advance into Ukraine, saying this year had been “historic”.

Let us tell you that Trump has repeatedly claimed that he will work to end the conflict as soon as possible. Although he did not tell how he would do this. Trump met Zelensky this month in Paris at a meeting hosted by French leader Emmanuel Macron.
