CM Yogi has taken command after a huge jam in Mahakumbh. The officers have said in a strict tone- no jam should be done in any situation. After this, the administration has taken tough steps. A new traffic plan has been implemented on Maghi Purnima.

Now the entire fair area has been declared a no-vehicle zone till 12 February. The vehicles of Kalpavasis will not be allowed inside. Only the vehicles of administrative officials and health department vehicles will run. VVIP passes have also been canceled.

Devotees will have to park their vehicles in the parking lot outside the city. If you are coming by train, you will have to land at the railway station. Will have to go to Sangam and return on foot. The distance from parking and stations is 8 to 10 km. Akshayavat and lying Hanuman Temple will also be closed on Maghi Purnima.

Question: Whether the boat is running in the Ganges or not? answer: Boats are running. It is allowed to go to the confluence, but it can be banned on the day of Maghi Purnima. So far, this has been happening on bathing festivals.

CM Yogi held a review meeting with officers on Monday regarding Mahakumbh. During this, the CM gave several instructions. Read the point war-

  • Traffic on Mahakumbh road did not stop. Properly manage parking sites.
  • Devotees are coming from every direction in Prayagraj. There should not be a queue of vehicles on the roads, nor should there be a jam situation.
  • Take special vigilance and caution on Magh Purnima. Apply arrangements like Basant Panchami.
  • Strictly implement traffic and crowd management rules regarding Magh Purnima.
  • Take special care of children, elderly and women. The number of shuttle buses from the parking lot to the fair premises should be increased.
  • No vehicle should be admitted to the fair premises without permission.
  • It is our responsibility to take every devotee safely to his house.
  • Cleanliness is the identity of Prayagraj Mahakumbh. Be it river or fair complex, do cleanliness continuously.
  • Officers of the districts adjacent to Prayagraj should continue to contact the Prayagraj administration. Movement of vehicles should be with mutual coordination.
  • A large crowd should not gather at any station in Prayagraj. Fair special trains and additional buses of Transport Corporation should be run.
