Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren today fulfilled his biggest election promise by transferring an amount of Rs 2.5 thousand each to the bank accounts of more than 56.61 lakh women under ‘Maiyan Samman Yojana’. Under this scheme, CM Soren today transferred a total of Rs 1,415.44 crore to the accounts of the beneficiaries. On this occasion, a big program was organized today at Namkum Khojatoli Ground in Ranchi, in which about two lakh women from the entire state were present. Congress also praised it and said that we have kept what we promised.

While interacting with the women, CM Hemant Soren said, “This amount is a big step towards making you financially self-reliant. Today we are very happy to fulfill the pledge that our government had taken before the elections.” After this, by pressing the button of the remote, the CM deposited a total of Rs 1,415 crore 44 in the bank accounts of 56 lakh 61 thousand 791 women of the state. Transferred an amount of Rs 77 thousand 500. When this scheme was started five months ago, women were being given one thousand rupees per month, but just before the announcement of elections, the Grand Alliance government had approved in the cabinet to increase this amount to two and a half thousand rupees.

Expressing happiness over the transfer of money to the accounts of more than 56 lakh women under ‘Maiyan Samman Yojana’ in Jharkhand, Congress said that we have kept the promise we made. Congress said on Twitter, “Under the Maiyan Samman Yojana, the India Alliance had promised to give an honorarium of Rs 2,500 every month to the women in Jharkhand. Now that promise is being fulfilled. The women of the state will get an honorarium of Rs 2,500. This initiative will make women economically stronger and the promise made will be fulfilled.

Hemant Soren said that the vision of all-round development of the country and the state cannot be realized unless men and women walk shoulder to shoulder. Keeping this in mind, we have taken this step to bring women forward. Our previous governments talked a lot about women empowerment, but did not take any concrete steps. When we started giving an amount of Rs 1,000 per month to women, we were ridiculed. When we promised to increase this amount to Rs 2,500, the opposition also made false propaganda regarding this. He raised the question from where will the government bring so much money? Today we have given them the answer.

Taking aim at the opposition, Soren said that we are not like those who go back on their promises or mislead people by telling lies. Appealing to women to participate in the development of the state, he said that your small savings will improve the future of children. Women can use the amount of ‘Maiyan Samman’ to remove malnutrition of themselves and their children. Expressing his gratitude for the cooperation and support of women during the elections, the Chief Minister said that you have formed our government by giving us full blessings. Now our concern is to make you self-reliant and developed. State Finance Minister Radhakrishna Kishore also addressed the program. On this occasion, Minister Chamra Linda, MLA Kalpana Soren and many other important people were present.
