Mahakumbh Amrit Snan Basant Panchmi: On 3 February (Monday) in Mahakumbh, Basant Panchami has a nectar bath. The administration has made complete preparations for the last nectar bath. 3 crore devotees are expected to arrive on Basant Panchami. Today and tomorrow, the entry of heavy vehicles in Prayagraj has stopped. No vehicle zone has been declared on 2 and 3 February in the fair. The order to close schools from 28 January to 5 February has already been issued. The vehicles coming from outside have been diverted from the border itself.
VVIP movement has also been banned today and tomorrow for the nectar bath of Basant Panchami. No one passes will be valid today and tomorrow. Additional police forces will be deployed in the routes on which more crowds are expected to occur. The nectar bath of the akhadas will be like an hour before Mauni Amavasya. There is an order to run more than 7200 buses. Vehicle parking number has also been increased.
The number of signage in the fair has been increased. Devotees have been asked to motivate them to bathe at all the ghats. Senior officials have been deployed at the entry and exit point in the fair. Two special officers have been deployed in the control room. Police is being patrolled regularly on the routes. Instructions have been given to open a large number of Pantoon Bridge. Police will be stationed on both sides of the Pantoon bridge.
A continuous movement has been ordered to prevent the crowd from gathering. Aerial survey of Mahakumbh will also be done so that the crowd can be guessed. There is a preparation to run more than 250 special trains on Basant Panchami. So far more than 33 crore devotees have taken bath in Mahakumbh.
In Mahakumbh, special arrangements have been made on the remaining main bathing festival Basant Panchami (03.02.2025), Maghi Purnima (12.02.2025) and Mahashivratri (26.02.2025). During Mahakumbh -2025, some restrictions will be imposed on railway stations for the safety and ease of passengers at the stations. The work will remain in force till two days after the main bathing day, one day before the main bathing day.
Prayagraj junction
- The entry will be given only from the city side (platform no.-1).
- The exit will be given only by the Civil Lines Side.
- Unreserved passengers will be given admission through direction passenger shelter.
- Ticket arrangements will be in the form of unreserved ticket counter, ATVM and mobile ticketing in passenger shelters.
- Passengers of reserved category will be given admission from Gate No. 5 located on the city side.
Prayagraj Chivki Station
- Admission will be given only by the COD route connecting the Prayagraj-Mirzapur highway.
- Exit only G.E. C will be given by Naini Road (First Entry).
- Unreserved passengers will be given admission through direction passenger shelter.
- Reserve passengers will be given admission from gate number 2.
- Ticket arrangements will be in the form of unreserved ticket counter, ATVM and mobile ticketing in passenger shelters.
Naini junction
- Admission will be given only from the station road.
- The exit will be given only from the Malgodam (the second entrance).
- Unreserved passengers will be given admission through direction passenger shelter.
- Passengers of reserved category will be given admission from gate number 2.
- Ticket arrangements will be in the form of unreserved ticket counter, ATVM and mobile ticketing in passenger shelters.
Subedarganj station
- Admission will be given only by Jhalwa (Kaushambi Road).
- Exit only GT Will be given towards the road.
- There will be a system of passenger shelter for unreserved passengers.
- Passengers of reserved category will be given admission from gate number 3.
- Ticket arrangements will be in the form of unreserved ticket counter, ATVM and mobile ticketing in passenger shelters.
