Under the government’s order, these employees have been given permission to go home from 2 March to 31 March at 4 pm from the office and schools at 4 pm. However, along with these instructions have also been given that if an employee needs more work, then he will have to stay in the office.

The BJP has criticized this decision of the state government. BJP leader Amit Malviya said why such exemption is not given during Hindu festivals. BJP MLA Raja Singh has described this order as a politics of appeasement.

Apart from Telangana, the Andhra Pradesh government has also allowed Muslim government employees to leave the office one hour ago in the month of Ramadan. The government of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced this. Andhra Pradesh has a coalition government of BJP, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Janasena.

This order has been issued by Telangana Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari.

Annoyed by the verdict, BJP MLA T Raja Singh termed the order as a culmination of appeasement, saying that Revanth Reddy’s government allowed Muslim employees to give a quick leave during Ramadan but has ignored Hindu festivals.

He said that the Legislative Council members (MLC) elections are going to be held in the state. The BJP is making it an issue for taking votes in these elections.
