The Income Tax Department is recruiting for the following posts:

  • Vacancies for 02 posts of Stenographer Grade II (Stenographer).
  • Vacancies for 28 posts of Tax Assistant (TA).
  • Vacancies for 26 posts of multi-tasking staff (MTS).

Age limit

The age limit set for various posts is as follows:

  • The age limit for stenographer Grade II and Tax Assistant is 18 to 27 years. The age limit for multi-tasking staff is 18 to 25 years.
  • A discount of 5 years has been given for general/OBC candidates.
  • While it is 10 years for SC/ST candidates (special discounts are applicable for meritorious players).

Income Tax Office Recruitment 2025: Educational Qualification

The educational qualification required for each post in the Income Tax Department is as follows:

  • Stenographer Grade II: For this post, candidates should pass 12th standard from a recognized board or university.

For multi-tasking staff ₹ 18,000 to ₹ 56,900 (Level 1, 7th CPC Pay Matrix).
