IND vs AUS 2nd Test: Rohit, Shubman will return, these two players will be out, this is the equation of playing XI for the pink ball test

New Delhi:

Team India Predicted Playing XI for 2nd Test vs Australia: After making a strong start to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by winning the Perth Test, the Indian team now has the big responsibility of demolishing the fort of Adelaide in the Pink Ball Test starting from Friday. Australia has played seven pink ball tests on this ground so far and has won all of them. The last time the Australian team returned home after falling behind in the Test series was in 1936-37. In such a situation, if the Australian team wants to survive in this series, then it is very important for them to win this test.

Rohit returns, Hazlewood out

It is good news for India that captain Rohit Sharma is making a comeback from this test. On Thursday he had already told that he will bat in the middle order. In such a situation, only KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be seen opening in the Adelaide Test also. On the other hand, Shubman Gill, who did not play in the last match due to injury, is also making a comeback in this test and will be seen playing at number three. This means that Devdutt Padikkal and Dhruv Jurel will have to sit out in this match.

Nathan Lyon also found it surprising that India’s leading spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja, who took more than 850 Test wickets, were kept out. On the other hand, Australia has also lost Josh Hazlewood due to injury. Now Scott Boland will take part in this test in his place. There is also doubt about Mitchell Marsh whether he will be able to bowl in the Adelaide Test. If he plays as a pure batsman, it will upset the balance of the Australian team.

In spotlight: Rohit Sharma and Pat Cummins

Rohit Sharma, who did not play the Perth Test due to the birth of his second child, is making a comeback in this match. In the first test, there was an opening partnership of 201 between Rahul and Jaiswal. For this reason, keeping in mind the interest of the team, Rohit has decided to bat in the middle order. Rohit’s highest score in the last 10 test innings has also been 52 runs. Rohit’s highest score in Australia is 63 not out, which came while batting at number six in Melbourne in 2018-19.

Pat Cummins entered this series without playing any four-day match. Cummins looked completely out of rhythm in the last match, while he was also seen under pressure in captaincy. Despite restricting India to 150 runs in the first innings, he was not able to make a comeback for the team. In the absence of Hazlewood, he will have to take additional responsibilities.

Pitch and conditions: Chances of rain on the first day

6 mm grass has been left on the pitch. Leon has expressed hope for a turn here. There are also chances of rain on the first day of the match. The game may be affected on the second day also but after this the weather will be fine due to which the result will be available in full time.

Probable playing eleven: India: Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma (captain), Rishabh Pant, Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.
