The Indian Test team led by Rohit Sharma met Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Thursday. This meeting has come before the practice match of the Indian team on Australia tour. A two-day practice match is to be held between India A and Australia Prime Minister’s XI in Canberra on 30 November and before that both the teams have met the Australian Prime Minister. The Australian Prime Minister had organized a reception at the Federal Parliament House before this practice match, in which Rohit Sharma spoke about cricket and relations between the two countries.
PM Albanese’s official ‘X’ handle shared photos of the meeting along with a message for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The post read, “PM XI faces a big challenge against a brilliant Indian team at Manuka Oval this week. But as I told PM Narendra Modi, “I am supporting the Australian team to get the job done. “
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has responded to this tweet. PM Modi wrote on Twitter, “Glad to see my dear friend Prime Minister Anthony Albanese with the Indian team and PM XI team. Team India has made a great start in the series and 1.4 billion Indians are strongly supporting the Men in Blue. I’m looking forward to exciting games ahead.”
