Jasprit Bumrah record: Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah (Jasprit Bumrah, IND vs AUS) has consolidated his top spot in the ICC men’s Test bowling rankings after his stellar performance in Brisbane. Bumrah, who took nine wickets for 94 runs in the rain-affected third Test against Australia, earned 14 additional rating points, taking his total to a career-high 904. With his rating, Bumrah equaled the record set by former spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in December 2016 and became the joint highest-rated Indian Test bowler in ICC history. With one more Test in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to be played in Melbourne, Bumrah has a chance to surpass Ashwin’s record. ,Jasprit Bumrah ICC Test Rankings

South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada and Australia’s Josh Hazlewood are currently placed second and third respectively, but are far behind Bumrah in terms of points. Australia’s Travis Head has reached fourth place in the men’s Test batting rankings, continuing his excellent performance in the ongoing series against India. After scoring a century in Adelaide, his heroic innings of 152 runs at Gabba has taken him to fourth place with 825 points.

Head’s compatriot Steve Smith’s century in the third Test has once again taken him into the top ten. On the other hand, Indian opener KL Rahul’s brilliant performance in India’s first innings has taken him up ten places to 40th position. Australia captain Pat Cummins has regained his place in the top 10 all-rounders after taking four wickets and 42 runs with the ball in the third Test against India.

In the ODI format, Heinrich Klaasen’s three sensational half-centuries in the home series against Pakistan have taken him from 13th to fifth in the men’s ODI batting rankings with 743 points. In the same series, two brilliant centuries by Sam Ayub, which Pakistan won 3-0, helped him rise from 70th position to joint 23rd position and earn 603 points.

The 22-year-old Ayub performed brilliantly after his bowling contribution in the series, climbing an impressive 113 places to reach joint 42nd position among all-rounders with America’s Steven Taylor in the ODI rankings. Afghanistan’s Azmatullah Omarzai made significant progress by climbing 43 places to 58th in the ODI bowling rankings after taking six wickets in the series against Zimbabwe.

Umarzai also climbed five places to reach third place in the ODI all-rounder rankings. Bangladesh’s successful multiformat tour of West Indies ended with a 3-0 win in the T20 series and the rankings reflect their dominance. Mahedi Hasan has moved up 13 places to join the top 10 in the T20 bowling rankings, now he is at 10th position.

West Indies’ Roston Chase has also impressed, climbing 11 places to 13th. Other Bangladeshi players include Rishad Hossain, who has moved up 21 places to 17th, and Hasan Mahmood, who has moved up 23 places to 24th, further strengthening their team’s presence in the rankings.
