Rohit Sharma is throwing wickets on out balls
Since December 2023, Rohit Sharma has been struggling against right-arm fast bowlers. Since December 2023, balls coming off the off stump or coming out of right-arm fast bowlers have proved to be the weak link for Rohit Sharma. Rohit is losing his wicket on these balls so quickly that hardly anyone would have thought about it.
Rohit has faced right-arm fast bowlers in 23 innings and during this period he has lost his wicket 13 times on balls going off stump or outside it. Rohit’s average during this period has been 14.76 and he is able to face only about 26 balls. During this period, Rohit is also desperate to score runs because his strike rate is only 57.14.
How bad these figures of Rohit are can be gauged from the fact that among the batsmen who have faced at least 200 such balls during this period, only Kusal Mendis has been out more times than Rohit.
