IND vs Eng: The T20I series was recently played between India and England. India won 4–1 in this 5-match T20i series. After this series, now both teams will face face to face in the ODI series, for which both teams had announced their squad a long time ago, but now big news has come out from the first ODI. Actually, the ODI series will start from February 6. The first ODI match will be played in Nagpur. 2 days before this match, Dhakad bowler has entered the squad of Team India. Dhakad spinner Varun Chakraborty, who performed brilliantly in the T20I series, has been included in the Indian team for the ODI series. Varun was the highest wicket -taking bowler in the 5 -match T20I series. He took a total of 14 wickets in his name.
BCCI has also officially confirmed Varun Chakraborty to be included in the squad. In a press conference before the first ODI to be played in Nagpur, Shubman Gill indicated that the spinner’s team has entered. Given the magnificent form in which Varun Chakraborty is in, he can also have an entry in the playing eleven of the first ODI. Let me tell you, Varun has not played a single ODI for India yet.
BCCI released a statement
The BCCI issued a statement saying that the Selection Committee has included Varun Chakraborty in the Indian team for the upcoming 3 -match ODI series against England. Varun took 14 wickets against England, including five wickets taken in Rajkot. Varun also became the best player of the series for excellent bowling performance. Varun has joined India’s ODI team in Nagpur.
