Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has returned to the Indian cricket team after almost 14 months. He will be seen playing in international cricket for the first time after World Cup 2023. Not only this, he will play for Team India in T20I match after 2 years and 2 months. He played his last T20I match in the year 2022 in the month of November. He was last seen playing in the 20 over format for Team India against England in the semi-final match of the T20I World Cup played in the year 2022. After such a long gap, now he is making a comeback in the shortest format of cricket. Although it is not certain that he will play all five matches, the team management is trying to prepare Shami completely before the Champions Trophy.
Recently Shami took part in Ranji Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, due to swelling in the knee, he could not participate in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. Shami is now going to return to international cricket after a wait of more than a year. It will be interesting to see how Shami’s comeback goes.
