Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while addressing the army personnel at Mhow Cantonment in Indore district of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, appealed to them to keep a close watch on the internal and external enemies. The Defense Minister said that India is not very lucky on the security front and we are constantly facing challenges.
“Challenges on the internal front too”
Rajnath Singh, who is on a two-day visit to the state, said, “India is not a very fortunate country considering the security scenario, as our northern border and western border are constantly facing challenges.” Mhow Cantonment, 25 km from Indore, has three major training institutes, Army War College, Military College of Telecommunication Engineering and Infantry School. Apart from this, there is also Infantry Museum and Army Marksmanship Unit. He told the army personnel, “We are also facing challenges on the internal front. In this background, we cannot be careless. Our enemies, whether internal or external, are always active. In these circumstances, we have to keep a strict watch on their activities.” “We should keep a watch and appropriate and timely effective steps should be taken against them.”
“We must always be alert”
The Defense Minister said that the role of the Army is very important to make India a developed and self-reliant country by 2047. He said, “As the Defense Minister of the country, I would like to tell you that we must always be alert. When I came here and saw the discipline and dedication with which you are training, I was very impressed. Your training is like any war. Not less than.” He said that maintaining this level of discipline requires dedication and conviction.

Rajnath Singh said he was impressed by the cleanliness in military establishments and cantonments across the country. Singh said, “Your dedication towards work inspires me. I can say that the most attractive thing is your dedication towards work and sense of responsibility. It is inspiring for all of us.” He told the army personnel that due to their hard work and commitment the country and its borders are continuously becoming safer and stronger. The Defense Minister also appreciated the valuable contribution of the training institutions of the Indian Army in making the personnel adept in military strategies and combat skills.
The acting commandant briefed Rajnath Singh about the establishment of the ‘Advanced Incubation and Research Centre’ and various MoUs regarding technologies, a release said. The Minister also visited the Infantry Museum, where he was briefed about the history of the Infantry as well as the induction of modern equipment into the Infantry. Earlier, Rajnath Singh along with Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi met Dr. B. in Mhow. R. Offered floral tributes at Ambedkar’s memorial. The memorial of Dr. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Constitution of India, has been built at his birthplace in Kali Paltan area of Mhow Cantonment. (language input)
