Sportstar’s Report According to, when the Indian Premier League is 18 years old, the Board of Control for Cricket in India will organize special functions at all 13 places. It will begin on 22 March with a grand opening ceremony at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, which will include Bollywood superstars and celebrities from the music industry. After this the ceremony will continue throughout the season and before the first match on each venue, there will be a cultural program, which will include prominent artists.
A source associated with the case said, “We wanted to add more flavors to the tournament so that the audience of each venue could get the opening ceremony test. For cultural programs in each site, we are planning to create a line-up of national and local artists.”
Famous singer Shreya Ghoshal and actress Disha Patani will be the lead actors at the inauguration ceremony in Kolkata, in which International Cricket Council (ICC) President Jai Shah and other dignitaries will participate. The board is now in the ‘final phase of the conversation’ with some other famous artists for the other 12 programs.
The source said, “The idea is that a diverse group of Bollywood actors will perform for all programs, and over time between the innings, two to three artists can be accommodated for these programs.” The source said, the list of artists and celebrities will be finalized by Wednesday.
According to the report, the source further said, “Since it is happening on such a large scale for the first time, there are some logical issues, so the BCCI and the State Union are working together to ensure that the programs are organized smoothly without obstructing the matches.”
Apart from traditional places, the tournament will also be played in Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, Dharamshala and Mullanpur, in which Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings have chosen him as ‘other’ domestic places.
