New Delhi:
Israel Hamas War: Israel has caused massive destruction in Gaza in the last more than a year in response to the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023. In such a situation, debris is visible everywhere in Gaza. But the thing that has turned Gaza into ruins is the release of Israeli hostages. Israel has either freed more than half of the hostages from the clutches of Hamas or they were killed by Hamas or they were killed in the Israeli attack. In such a situation, Israel has been continuously taking action in Gaza for more than a year in the campaign to eliminate Hamas. Israel has continuously offered Hamas terrorists to release the Israeli hostages and go to safe places. But so far it has had no effect on Hamas.
On the other hand, the Israeli government has had to face many types of protests in its own country under such circumstances. On one side, there was anger among the relatives of the hostages and on the other side, there was anger among the people of the opposing parties. Apart from this, many soldiers have also expressed their displeasure over the delay in the release of the hostages. Many soldiers have even given an ultimatum not to fight the war.
Israel’s attention is diverting from Gaza
In such a situation, Israel’s action gradually seems to be reaching its final stage. Israel’s focus has shifted from Gaza to Lebanon’s Hezbollah fighters for a long time now. In such a situation, it seems that Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has made his final move regarding the release of hostages.
Netanyahu visited Gaza
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, visiting the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, said the IDF will hold accountable all those who harmed hostages in Gaza and reward those who hand them over to Israel. Netanyahu said that we are making efforts here and everywhere to locate our hostages and bring them back. Overall, it is clear from Netanyahu’s words that he is making such threats and offers in his last effort so that the hostages can be released.
Netanyahu’s announcement on hostages
From what follows, it becomes clear how concerned Benjamin Netanyahu is about the hostages and his objective. He said that we are not going soft here. We will keep doing this until we bring them all back, both the living and the dead. He issued a stern warning to Palestinian Hamas militants in Gaza regarding the hostages and said that whoever dares to harm our hostages – their blood will be on your heads. We will follow you, and we will find you. Netanyahu also tried to motivate the hostages to leave by offering cash rewards.
Netanyahu’s offer of 5 million dollars for each hostage
Netanyahu then said that those who want to leave this dilemma, I say to them, whoever gives us the hostages back will find a safe way for himself and his family. He said that we will also give a reward of 5 million dollars for each hostage. Netanyahu said that the choice is yours, but the result will be the same. We will bring them all back.
Action until Hamas is eliminated
Netanyahu has emphasized that Israel’s military campaign will continue until Hamas is eliminated. Netanyahu said that Hamas will not rule in Gaza. We are effectively destroying its military capabilities. We are moving towards its operational capabilities. And our work is not done yet. Hamas will not be in Gaza.
