Jabalpur News: Six youths from Satna and Bihar arrested in online fraud case

Two separate teams of State Cyber ​​Cell reached Jabalpur on Friday with the six arrested accused. The accused were presented in the court. Information about them was obtained during the interrogation of 11 members of the gang arrested from Satna three days ago. The State Cyber ​​Police team reached Jabalpur on Friday with the arrested accused.

Mohammad Mashku, resident of Kamta Tola of Satna district, Chanchal Vishwakarma, resident of Tikuria, have been arrested from Gurugram and Sajid Khan, resident of Satna, has been arrested from Hyderabad.

In this case, Neeraj Yadav, resident of Patna, Bihar, Ramnath Kumar and Govind Kumar, resident of Saharsa, have been arrested from Gurugram.

  • Based on the clues received from the arrested accused, two separate teams of State Cyber ​​Cell conducted simultaneous raids in Haryana and Telangana.
  • At both the places, the accused had set up a cyber fraud base in a rented house. From where the accused used to cheat people online by luring them of winning lakhs of rupees through online betting app.
  • 40 mobile phones, 14 laptops, 89 ATM cards of different banks, many bank passbooks, checkbooks and other records have been seized from the spot, which were being used for online fraud.

Clue of the gang found from the amount of fraud in the bank

  • A suspicious transaction was made in the bank account of a private security personnel of a company in Satna. When the police investigated it, it was found that the amount extorted through cyber fraud was being deposited in the concerned bank account.
  • When the investigation progressed, a youth was arrested from Hyderabad. During interrogation, it was revealed that the bank accounts of 11 people of Satna were being used for online fraudulent transactions.
  • These bank account holders turned out to be members of a gang of cyber thugs. The gang leader used to pay fixed commission to the account holders on each fraudulent bank transaction.
  • During interrogation, the arrested accused had given information about the gang’s whereabouts in Hyderabad and Gurugram, on which six accused were arrested in a raid on Thursday.

Earlier, Hrithik Shriwas, resident of Manmohan Nagar Mandwa Basti, Mednipal Chaturvedi, resident of Maihar, along with Satna resident Anjar Hussain, Shashank Aggarwal, Amit Nigam, Anurag Kushwaha, Snehill Garg, Sumit Shewani, Amit Kushwaha, Sandeep Chaturvedi, Nitin Kushwaha and Sagir Akhtar.
