JAC Board: 7.83 lakh students will appear in Jharkhand Board Matric-Inter examination

JAC Board: This year, 2100 examination centers have been made in the state for matriculation and intermediate examinations. Jharkhand Academic Council i.e. JAC has completed the process of exam scheduling. 1305 centers have been made across the state for matriculation and 795 centers for intermediate. The number of candidates appearing in both matriculation and intermediate examinations has increased this year. This year, a total of 7,83,711 candidates, including matriculation and intermediate, will appear in the examination. In comparison to the year 2024, this year the number of candidates in Matriculation has increased by 12208 and in all three Faculties in Intermediate, the number of candidates has increased by 5267. 4,21,678 candidates had submitted applications to appear in the Matriculation examination for the year 2024 and 3,44,842 candidates had submitted applications for Intermediate. At the same time, 4,33,886 candidates have submitted applications for Matriculation examination of the year 2025 and 3,49,825 candidates have submitted applications for Intermediate.

When will the JAC Board 2025 exam start?

Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has announced the dates of class 10th (Matriculation) and 12th (Intermediate) board exams. These examinations will start from 11 February 2025 and end on 3 March 2025. Class 10 (Matriculation) examinations will be conducted from 11th February to 3rd March. All matriculation examination papers will be held in the morning session, and the exam timings are scheduled from 9:45 am to 1:00 pm. Students will get additional time of 15 minutes to read the question paper, so that they can plan their answer writing better. Admit card and other related information for Jharkhand Board Exam 2025 will be available soon on the official website of JAC.

What are the passing marks in JAC Board?

According to the 2025 model question paper of Jharkhand Board, the exam of most subjects will be of 80 marks, while the Home Science exam will be of 70 marks. Class 12 board exams will also mainly be of 80 marks, but Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Computer Science exams will be of 70 marks. As per JAC Class 10 and 12 Model Paper 2025, the duration of the exam has been fixed at 3 hours. Students will have to score minimum 33% marks in each subject in theory and practical combined to pass.
