I lost my voice two years ago.
Shekhar was fed up with this disease
Describing her illness, she said, ‘Left vocal cord paresis’ – this was the expert diagnosis of Dr. Nupur Nerurkar. I was completely devastated. To be honest, I was pessimistic… I thought I would never be able to sing again. My family was worried. And I was not happy to see him stressed. I just prayed more. I didn’t stop working. Kept trying, kept moving forward. In the meantime I had to go to San Diego for a few weeks. I met Jeremy in San Diego. He introduced me to an angel. I will talk about that in my next slide…’
Then this person entered
Sharing his experience during treatment, Shekhar Ravjiani said, ‘Dr. Erin Walsh- Who I couldn’t meet due to Covid. So we did a Zoom call instead. I remember tears welling up in my eyes when I told him I wanted to sing again. I begged him to please do something. The first thing he said to me was that I shouldn’t blame myself for what happened to my voice. We had a long conversation and he made me feel comfortable and finally, miraculously, he made me believe that I could sing, which was the first step.’

How to regain lost hope
Shekhar said, ‘But every time I cried, I screamed in a hoarse voice and started hating my voice… But, she remained firm and kept working on my voice and soul. His determination, dedication and his positivity brought my paralyzed left vocal cord back to normal within a few weeks. I am absolutely fine now. And I can sing better than before. Thank you Dr. Erin Walsh for being my angel on earth. Since then I have met many people who have lost their voice after Covid. There is a way. There is a solution. Just stay positive and have faith. Always keep hope in your hearts. There will always be angels who will find you and heal you. Jai Hanuman.
