Jasprit Bumrah took 8 wickets in the Perth Test.
India’s Jasprit Bumrah’s name has been added to the race for November’s ICC Player of the Month award. He took 8 wickets in the Perth Test against Australia. Along with Bumrah, Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and South Africa’s Marco Johnson have also been nominated.
In women’s category, Bangladesh’s Sharmin Akhtar, England’s Danny Wyatt-Hodge and South Africa’s Nadine de Klerk were nominated. In women’s, all three nominations went to batters, while in men’s, all three nominations went to bowlers.
Rauf had pushed Australia on the back foot
In November, 3 ODI and 3 T-20 series were played between Pakistan and Australia. Pakistan’s fast bowler had taken 10 wickets in 3 ODIs, with the help of which the team won the ODI series in Australia after 22 years.
In all three ODIs, Rauf had also sent the dangerous Glenn Maxwell back to the pavilion. Rauf was selected Player of the Series in ODI. After which he also took 5 wickets in 3 T-20s. That means in November he took 15 wickets in 6 matches.
Haris Rauf was adjudged Player of the Series in the ODI against Australia.
Yanson took 11 wickets against Sri Lanka
South African left arm pacer Marco Janson is at the forefront of the race to win the award. He took 7 wickets for just 13 runs in the first innings of the first Test against Sri Lanka. Due to which Sri Lanka was reduced to just 42 runs. He again took 4 wickets in the second innings. He also received the Player of the Match award for taking 11 wickets.
Before the Test, Yanson had performed brilliantly with the bat in the T-20 series against India. In the third T20, he scored 54 runs on just 17 balls, whereas in the fourth T20, he scored 29 runs. South Africa lost both the matches, but Yanson’s performance was excellent.
Marco Jansson took 11 wickets in the first test against Sri Lanka.
Bumrah captained bowling against Australia
Jasprit Bumrah captained India in the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy against Australia. Rohit Sharma could not play the match in Perth due to paternity leave. Playing first, Team India could score only 150 runs, here captain Bumrah made a comeback for the team. He took 5 wickets for just 30 runs and restricted Australia to 104 runs.
Bumrah then took 3 wickets for 42 runs in the second innings and India won the match by a huge margin of 295 runs. For this performance, Bumrah was chosen Player of the Match and India took a 1-0 lead in the series.

Not a single Indian is included in Women’s
Players from England, South Africa and Bangladesh have been nominated for the Women’s Player of the Month Award. Nadine de Klerk scored 80 runs and also took 4 wickets in the T-20 series against England. Danny Wyatt scored 142 runs against South Africa at a strike rate of 163.21 and helped his team win the series 3-0.
Whereas Sharmin Akhtar had scored 139 runs at an average of around 70 in 2 ODIs against Ireland. He played innings of 96 and 43 runs, which helped Bangladesh win the series 3–0. Sharmin then scored 72 runs in the third ODI played in December.
