Jeet Adani, Director (Airports), Adani Group, has described the landing of the first commercial validation flight on Sunday at the under-construction international airport in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra as a historic milestone and thanked all the stakeholders for this success.
Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is being constructed by the Adani Group. The first commercial flight validation test was completed at the airport on Sunday. For this, A320 aircraft of Indigo airline successfully landed on the runway. The aircraft was welcomed with traditional water cannon.

He has shared a photo of the landing with this post and has also tagged India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Airports Authority of India (AAI) and airline company IndiGo.
After the construction of the airport in Navi Mumbai, there will be less pressure on the Mumbai airport where there is no scope for expansion.
The validation test flight landed on runway 08/26. The flight test was monitored by Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Airports Authority of India (AAI), Customs, Immigration, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Maharashtra Municipal and Industrial Development Corporation Limited (CIDCO), India Meteorological Department (IMD), The meeting was conducted by senior officials of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) as well as Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) and other key stakeholders.

Navi Mumbai International Airport Private Limited (NMIAL) has been formed to develop, construct, operate and maintain the greenfield international airport project in Navi Mumbai. NMIAL is part of Adani Airport Holdings Limited and is 74 percent owned by Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) and 26 percent owned by CIDCO, a Maharashtra government undertaking.
