Jharkhand Assembly Election 2024: Jharkhand Assembly Elections 2024 have been completed. Now it is the turn of counting the votes. Voting was held in two phases on 81 assembly seats of Jharkhand. The fate of all the candidates is captured in EVMs. Counting of votes will take place on 23 November. The fate of the candidates will be decided on the same day. If we look at the results of the four assembly elections held from 2005 to 2019 after the formation of Jharkhand, there have been very exciting contests on many seats. The smallest victory in Jharkhand was by a margin of 25 votes, while the largest margin of victory and defeat was 72,643 votes.

In the 2009 elections, the BJP candidate and former minister lost from the Hatia assembly seat to the Congress candidate by the smallest margin of votes. Gopal SN Shahdev of Congress got 39,921 votes. Whereas BJP candidate Ramji Lal Sharda got 39,896 votes and lost by just 25 votes. At the same time, in the 2005 elections, NCP candidate Kamlesh Singh had won from Hussainabad seat by a margin of only 43 votes. He got 21,661 votes. Whereas RJD candidate Sanjay Singh Yadav, who stood second, had obtained 21,626 votes.

Similarly, in the 2014 elections, victory and defeat on Torpa seat was decided by only 43 votes. BJP’s Koche Munda got 31,960 votes. While JMM’s Paulus Surin was in second place with 32,003 votes. Apart from these, with a difference of 285 votes in Simdega (2019), 290 in Chakradharpur (2009), 411 in Barkagaon (2014), 436 in Khunti (2009), 438 in Latehar (2005), 569 in Bishunpur and 592 in Lohardaga (2014). There have been wins and losses.

At the same time, those who achieved the biggest victory in Jharkhand elections include the names of former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das of BJP, Biranchi Narayan and Alamgir Alam of Congress and other leaders. In the 2014 elections, BJP candidate Biranchi Narayan had won from Bokaro Assembly seat by a record margin of 72,643 votes. He got a total of 1,14,321 votes in the elections. Whereas independent candidate Samaresh Singh was in second place with 41,678 votes. After this, Raghuvar Das got the biggest victory. In the 2014 elections itself, Raghuvar Das got a total of 1,03,427 votes from Jamshedpur East seat. He defeated Anand Bihari Dubey of Congress by 70,157 votes.

The biggest victory in the 2019 elections was given to Congress candidate Alamgir Alam from Pakur. He got a total of 1,28,218 votes. He defeated Congress’s Veni Prasad Gupta by 65,108 votes. Apart from these, 64.912 in Khijri (2014), 60,565 in Baharagora (2019), 59,804 in Kanke (2014), 58863 in Ranchi (2014), 55,344 in Kharsawan (2015), 53,818 in Ramgarh (2014), Dhanbad (2019). The victory and defeat took place with a margin of 52,997 votes in Hazaribagh (2019), 51812 votes in Hazaribagh (2019) and 48,123 votes in Mandu (2019).

This time there will be close competition on many seats
Let us tell you that in the ongoing elections in Jharkhand, there is a tough competition on many seats. At the same time, the reputation of many Chief Ministers and their relatives is also at stake in the elections. CM Hemant Soren, his wife Kalpana Soren and brother Basant Soren are in the electoral fray from JMM, while Hemant’s sister-in-law Sita Soren is in the fray from BJP. Similarly, the fate of former BJP Chief Minister Babulal Marandi is also trapped in EVMs. At the same time, Purnima Das Sahu, daughter-in-law of former CM and present Governor of Odisha Raghuvar Das, Meera Munda, wife of former Chief Minister Arjun Munda and Geeta Koda, wife of former CM Madhu Koda, are also trying their luck. At the same time, former IPS Dr. Arun Kumar Oraon from BJP and Dr. Ajay Kumar, former IPS and MP from Congress, are also in the fray.
