Hemant Soren is ahead by how many votes?

Amidst the ongoing counting of votes for Jharkhand Assembly elections, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has taken a lead of 12,818 votes against Gamliyal Hembrom of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Barhet Assembly constituency. This information was obtained from the trends available on the Election Commission website.

Soren had contested from two seats – Barhet and Dumka in 2019 and won both the seats by a margin of 25,740 and 13,188 votes respectively. Later, he vacated the Dumka seat from where his brother Basant Soren was elected in the by-election.

Kalpana Soren, JMM candidate from Gandey assembly constituency, said on the results of #JharkhandElection2024, “The counting of votes is still going on. Since we have waited so much, we should wait for a few more hours… Everyone is waiting for the 23rd.” “It’s done and wait for 2 to 3 more hours.”

Champai Soren took the lead

BJP candidate Champai Soren was lagging behind in Jharkhand. But now he has taken the lead.
