Justin Trudeau surrounded in Canada by wrong allegations against India, had to call his own officials ‘criminals’

Amidst the increasing tensions between India and Canada, the troubles of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau are not decreasing. Every day they have to face criticism in some matter or the other. Now in one case, Trudeau faced such a situation that he had to call his own intelligence agency officers as criminals. Trudeau has called his officials criminals for sharing false information in the case of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar.

A leading Canadian newspaper ‘Globe and Mail’ had published a report. It was said that PM Modi had prior knowledge about the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. It was also claimed in the same report that Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar and the Indian National Security Advisor were also aware of this plan. This report was published quoting Canadian security officials. Trudeau has called these things baseless.

Addressing a rally in Brampton on Friday, Justin Trudeau said, “Unfortunately we have seen that those criminals leaked top secret information to the media. The media are constantly publishing false stories. Criminals leaking information to the media. is incredible.” The Canadian PM said, “A national inquiry has been launched to stop foreign interference. It has revealed that criminals are leaking secret information to the media.”

Canadian agency also called the report wrong
Canada’s National Security Agency has described the ‘Globe and Mail’ report as completely false. The agency said in a statement, “The National Security Agency has not disclosed anything about having information about the Nijjar murder case of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. Nor has the agency There is no evidence regarding this.”

India had given a strong reaction
After the publication of this report, the Indian Foreign Ministry has given a strong reaction to it. India has called it a campaign to defame. Indian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal had said, “Such defamatory campaigns further damage our already strained relations.”

Canada has also accused Amit Shah
Recently, the Canadian Foreign Ministry had alleged that Home Minister Amit Shah has ordered a campaign targeting Sikh separatists in Canada with the aim of gathering intelligence through violence. India had given a blunt reply to Canada by rejecting the allegations outright.

Relations between India and Canada have deteriorated since September last year. In September 2023, the Canadian PM had claimed that Indian agents were involved in the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India had completely rejected these allegations and had asked for evidence from Canada. However, till date the Canadian government has not provided any evidence regarding its allegations. After this, diplomatic relations between the two countries deteriorated. Recently, India also recalled its diplomat from Canada. Then Canada also called all its officials.

Canada’s PM Trudeau admitted that the government failed on the issue of migrants, there was a mistake in the immigration policy.
