Vande Bharat trains are continuously increasing in the country. Now you will soon see Vande Bharat Express running in Kashmir Valley also. In the Kashmir Valley, the temperature goes down very low during the winter season and snowfall also occurs. In such a situation, this train has been designed to operate in challenging winter conditions. Also, to make the journey of Vande Bharat very comfortable and safe for the passengers, the train is being equipped with state-of-the-art technology and better facilities.
Manufactured by Integral Coach Factory under the Make in India initiative, Vande Bharat Express has been carefully designed for the extreme climatic conditions of the Kashmir Valley. Many new facilities have been provided for train operations in Jammu and Kashmir.

Silicone Heating Pad: Prevent freezing of water tanks and bio-toilet tanks, plus overheat protection sensors ensure safety and reliability.
Heated Plumbing Pipeline: In this, the heating cables prevent water from freezing and it operates smoothly even in temperatures below zero.
Heaters in Indian toilets: Vacuum systems provide hot air for toilets.
Auto-Draining Mechanism: Plumbing lines are equipped with draining systems to prevent freezing during stabling.
Enhanced driver comfort and safety
Heating element embedded in windshield: The driver’s front lookout glass includes heating elements for defrosting, ensuring visibility is maintained even during the harshest winter.
Anti-Spill Layer: Added to protect the driver from impacts during extreme weather or unexpected events.

Air Dryer System Heating: This ensures that the air brake system works optimally even in cold conditions.

Kashmir valley will soon be connected to the country
The dream of connecting Kashmir with the country through rail is going to be fulfilled soon. The work of the last T33 tunnel on the route from Katra to Reasi has been completed. A trial has also been done by running a train on it. The route of the train will be from Jammu to Katra, then from Katra to Reasi, from Reasi to Sangladan and from Sangladan to Baramulla. Currently the train goes from Sangladan (Ramban, Jammu) to Baramulla (Kashmir) and from Jammu to Katra is the last station.
