Former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said during the press conference on Saturday – Wrong water bills will be waived off in Delhi.

Kejriwal said-

When I went to jail, I don’t know what these people did from behind. Something went wrong and the water bills of lakhs of people started running into thousands of rupees. We could not tolerate this. I declare that those who feel that their bills have been wrong, they do not need to pay water bills. After the elections we will get these bills waived off. Its details will be told only after the elections.

In the press conference, Kejriwal accused BJP and Congress of misleading the people of Delhi. He said- Congress and BJP should formally announce that they are contesting elections together in Delhi.

Kejriwal said- These people want to win elections only by abusing. AAP is saying that vote for us on the basis of the work we have done in the last 10 years.

At the same time, BJP is saying that we have abused Kejriwal so much in 10 years. There will be more abuses in the coming 5 years. Now the public has to decide whether to vote in the name of abuses or to vote for work.

The current tenure of Delhi Assembly ends on 23 February 2025. Elections may be held this month or next month. The last assembly elections were held in February 2020, in which AAP won 62 out of 70 seats.

Kejriwal had announced this before Delhi elections

Kejriwal has made 5 announcements in the last 44 days. These include schemes ranging from Rs 2100 to women under Mahila Samman Yojana to schemes for auto drivers and priest grants.

  • Pujari Granthi Scheme on 30th December: Kejriwal announced that if his party forms the government again in Delhi, it will start the Pujari Granthi Samman Yojana. Under this, an allowance of Rs 18 thousand will be given every month to the priests of the temple and the priests of the Gurudwaras.
  • on 18th december Sanjeevani Yojana for the elderly: Arvind Kejriwal announced that elderly people above 60 years of age will get free treatment. Kejriwal made it clear that this treatment will be free for all the elderly, no matter which category they fall in.
  • 12 December: Mahila Samman Yojana for women: Announced to give Rs 1000 every month to women. It has been named Mahila Samman Yojana. Every woman who has completed 18 years of age will come under the scope of this scheme. After the elections the amount will be increased to ₹2100.
  • 10 December: 4 announcements for auto drivers: Kejriwal announced to give Rs 1 lakh for the marriage of the auto driver’s daughter, Rs 2,500 each for getting uniforms made on Holi-Diwali, life insurance of Rs 10 lakh and accidental insurance of Rs 5 lakh. . The expenses of coaching of children will also be given.
  • 21 November: Announced the resumption of pension scheme for the elderly giving pension of up to ₹ 2500 per month to 5 lakh people. 80 thousand new elderly people have been added to the scheme. Earlier 4.50 lakh people used to get the benefit of this scheme. Now more than five lakh people will come under its purview.
