AAP has declared the names of 70 candidates in a total of 4 lists between November 21 and December 15, i.e. in 25 days.
The fourth and final list of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for Delhi Assembly elections has arrived. There are 38 names in it. Former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will contest elections from New Delhi. CM Atishi has been made the candidate from Kalkaji. Saurabh Bhardwaj will contest from Greater Kailash, Satyendra Jain will contest from Shakur Basti.
AAP has declared the names of 70 candidates in a total of 4 lists between November 21 and December 15, i.e. in 25 days. This time the tickets of 26 sitting MLAs have been canceled. The seats of 4 MLAs have been changed.
Among these, Manish Sisodia’s seat has been changed from Patparganj to Jangpura, Rakhi Bidlan’s seat has been changed from Mangolpuri to Madipur, Praveen Kumar’s seat has been changed from Jangpura to Janakpuri and Durgesh Pathak’s seat has been changed from Karawal Nagar to Rajendranagar.
December 13: 1 name in the third list, ticket to Tarun Yadav from Najafgarh. AAP had released the third list on 13 December. There was only one candidate’s name in it. The party has made Tarun Yadav its candidate from Najafgarh. Former minister Kailash Gehlot was the MLA from this seat. Gehlot resigned from AAP last month and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
December 9: 20 names in the second list, tickets of 17 sitting MLAs canceled On December 9, in the second list of 20 candidates, tickets of 17 sitting MLAs were cut, while the seats of 3 were changed. Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia will contest from Jangpura. Earlier he used to contest elections from Patparganj. AAP has fielded UPSC teacher Avadh Ojha from Patparganj. Ojha had joined the party only on 2 December.
Among the famous faces, the ticket of sitting MLA Dilip Pandey from Timarpur was canceled. In his place, Surendra Pal Singh Bittu, who joined AAP from BJP, has been made the candidate.
November 21: 11 names in the first list, tickets to 3 leaders from Congress AAP had released the first list of candidates on 21 November. There were 11 names in the list. Of these, there were six leaders who left BJP or Congress and joined AAP. Brahm Singh Tanwar, Bibi Tyagi and Anil Jha had recently left BJP.
Whereas Zubair Chaudhary, Veer Singh Dhingan and Sumesh Shaukeen have come to AAP from Congress. The tenure of Delhi Assembly ends on 23 February 2025. The Election Commission completes the election process before the date of expiry of the term.
3 big movements in Delhi government in last one year…
1. Kejriwal released from jail after 156 days: ED had arrested Kejriwal on March 21 in the liquor policy case. Kejriwal spent about 156 days in jail. Currently out on bail. Two investigating agencies (ED and CBI) have registered a case against him. Kejriwal was granted bail by the Supreme Court in the CBI case on September 13. At the same time, in the ED case, he got bail from the Supreme Court on July 12.
2. Resignation from the post of CM: After coming out of jail, Arvind Kejriwal resigned from the post of CM on 17 September evening. Atishi and 4 ministers were present with him. After this Atishi staked claim to form a new government. After this, the Delhi government had also called a 2-day assembly session on 26 and 27 September. On the change of power, BJP said that the makeover will not hide the stains of AAP.
3. Atishi becomes the new CM: Atishi took oath as the 9th Chief Minister of Delhi on 21 September. Lieutenant Governor (LG) Vinay Saxena administered the oath to him. After the oath, Atishi touched the feet of Arvind Kejriwal. He is the youngest (43 years) CM of Delhi. Earlier, Kejriwal had become CM at the age of 45. Atishi is the third woman CM of Delhi after Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit.
