The BJP has elected the Chief Minister 11 days after the results of the assembly elections. BJP MLAs in Delhi have elected Rekha Gupta as their leader. She will be the next Chief Minister of Delhi. He will be sworn in at Ramlila Maidan at 12 noon on Thursday afternoon. She has been elected MLA from Shalimar Bagh seat. Rekha Gupta started her political journey from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP). She was elected Secretary of Delhi University while doing student politics. She is originally from Julana, Haryana. But his family had come to Delhi due to his father’s job. The BJP has played a bet on Rekha Gupta in view of the population of women and Vaishya community in Delhi. The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh was also in support of Rekha Gupta. Why did BJP bet on woman

His father was a manager in State Bank of India. His family moved to Delhi in 1976 in connection with the job. At that time Rekha Gupta was only two years old. When did Rekha Gupta join politics
Rekha Gupta joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in his student life. Rekha Gupta was elected the secretary of Daulat Ram College Students’ Union of Delhi University. He was elected the General Secretary of Delhi University Students’ Union in 1995-96. Rekha has studied from Delhi University to LLB. Rekha Gupta joined the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in 2003-04 after completing his studies from Delhi University. He was made Secretary of Delhi Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. She has also held the post of National Secretary of Yuva Morcha from 2004 to 2006. She currently holds the post of General Secretary of Delhi BJP and National Vice President of BJP’s Mahila Morcha.

Rekha Gupta’s election journey
He won the election of Delhi Municipal Corporation in 2007 and 2012 from North Pitampura. Rekha Gupta also contested the 2015 and 2020 assembly elections from Shalimar Bagh seat. But he had to face defeat. In the 2015 elections, he was defeated by Vandana Kumari of Aam Aadmi Party by about 11 thousand votes. In the election of 2020, the margin of Rekha’s defeat decreased to about three and a half thousand votes. In this election, Rekha Gupta took revenge on both her previous defeats and Vandana Kumari of Aam Aadmi Party has a huge more than 29 thousand votes to Vandana Kumari of Aam Aadmi Party.
